Jamaican Black Castor Oil is produced from the same plant as standard Castor oil. However, as the seeds are roasted before extraction, the oil has a dark burnt orange/reddish-brown colour with a stronger, more nutty aroma.
The slight ash content of the oil is said to offer additional benefits for hair - especially for those with thicker or more curly hair types.
