These massage stones are guaranteed Basalt, they come from the volcanic regions of South America.
Basalt Stones are used for massage because of there heat retaining qualities.
They may arrive to you Grey or Grey/Green and maybe with some speckles, after you have oiled them they will take on the characteristic black colour you are expecting of Basalt massage Stones, this is called seasoning.
Your stones should be heated using the water bath method, a temperature range between 47degrees and 53 degrees Celsius is normal but may vary as required. You will use your stones slightly wet and oiled. Always check the stone temperature on yourself before using your client.
You can clean your stones with warm soapy water, they can be soaked in salt bath or sprayed with anitbacterial spray, they can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
